Every Bird's person knows that the Bird is an intelligent and exceptional creature.  You don't own a bird, the Bird owns you! They touch your heart in a special way.  Their antics can be delightful or frustrating.

Parrots feel most comfortable in their own home. As prey animals they have evolved an acute awareness of their environment.  They can detect even minor changes in environment.  If a piece of furniture is moved or something is added, it suddenly becomes the most scariest thing imaginable.  Boarding can be a problem for the Bird as he or she is in a strange environment.   Depending on the facility, the Bird may be surrounded by predators (cats and dogs).  That is the scariest thing imaginable!  The Bird may potentially be exposed to diseases as well. 

So, The Parrot Nanny comes to visit the Bird in his or her home to change the papers, clean and refill the food and water dishes and, very importantly, to provide "social" time with the Bird.  As flock animals, they crave social interaction.  The Parrot Nanny can let them out to play, chat, sing and dance with them.  Visits generally last at least 45 minutes.  The parrot nanny does offer limited boarding for small birds if preferred.
